Sona Kamat, MD, FACR, is the leading board-certified rheumatologist at West County Rheumatology in Saint Louis. There, she uses state-of-the-art technology to assess patients’ joint pain, inflammation, and accompanying symptoms to develop effective and unique treatment strategies. She’s dedicated to helping patients navigate life with rheumatic diseases like lupus, arthritis, and fibromyalgia.
After medical school, she completed her residency in Peoria, Illinois, at St. Francis Medical Center. She then moved to her current city, St. Louis, for her fellowship at St. Louis University Hospital.
Today, Dr. Kamat comprehensively evaluates patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds and listens to each of their concerns throughout their treatment processes. To achieve the best possible outcomes, she offers multifaceted treatment plans with infusion therapy, home care, and appropriate prescription medications to help alleviate patients’ discomfort.
