After completing medical school with honors, she completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois then her fellowship in Rheumatology at Saint Louis University. She has been fortunate enough to be honored by the Arthritis Foundation of Missouri and Southern Illinois. She has served as the president of the Saint Louis Rheumatology society as well as the Medical advisory Board for Enterprise Bank. She has also been an elected Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
